Someone left the cake out in the rain (August 10, 2008)

Good afternoon, everyone... well, okay, here, it's more like a thunderous afternoon. It's all gray and miserable and stormy and blah, and apparently there's a tornado warning for the counties directly north of us. The power just flickered a moment ago, so I'm not sure how much I'll actually get done today, even if the tornado stays where it's supposed to and the hail doesn't strike here.

I added more stuff to my Half.com store - Laura stopped by Goodwill (and a yard sale) a day or two ago and collected a few more books that otherwise might be occupying landfill space later this week. I now have something from every book category, namely:

Now then, my to-do list:
The Chain Game - First-Last Chain. A chain game where each word begins with the last letter of the previous word.

Best of the Worst - Leaderboard. A feature for all content that has maintained a perfect ten beyond the expectations of its poster, thus maintaining its status as the Best of the Worst.

Team Green - Articles for a Greener Tomorrow. A feature for all environmentally minded articles published to Team Green that week.

Group Moderation. Yep, everything in moderation - including moderation. I cleared a large amount of Rating Resurrectionists' backlog yesterday, and I'm trying to clear it all out then move on to others in the Big Four. Of course, I've also got my other groups to check in on, too.

Of course, all of this is based on the hope that the storms here don't take me out of commission - it's two o'clock and it's as dark as evening right now. How's the weather where you are?
