Kyleigh's Story - Lunch Time!

Kyleigh is learning to self-feed. So, lunch time is always fun. This is what happens:

"Yummy. Today's lunch is my faaaavorite macaroni an' cheese, and fishie. Lemme get a scoop of the macaroni first."

"Whacha lookin' at? I said I can do this myself."

"Ahhhh... um... Grandma, why do you look so concerned? Something wrong?"

"Okaaaay... Fine. I will eat smaller bites."

"Yew... What's that stuck on my thumb?"

"Hey, Grandma, why are you hiding this thing away from me? I think I can use it too." (P.S. That's a fork.)

"Wow. Ok, now I am a little overwhelmed. That's a lot of fish."

"Lunch is yummy!"

This age is soooo much fun! The discovery of food is amazing! Enjoy these moments, eventually they get "fussy!"

And remember don't stop encouraging her to eat many things, not just certain things like our daughter did... :( Now she's nothing but a junk food junkie! ARGH :(

Oh my goodness, I am amazed that she made it through those photos without dropping food all over that white shirt. LOL My son would have had it totally stained and ruined after the first bite when he was that age. LOL

She's adorable!
