My husband didn't use to have someone fighting for the remote with him (I don't watch too much TV), but now he does. When Kyleigh is in the living room with him, she always grabs the remote from him.
I asked my husband, "What does it matter? Does she actually change the channels?" He said, "Yes!" I said, "How's that possible?" My husband believed that the "channel +" and "channel -" buttons were the two biggest buttons on the remote, and they were the easiest to push. Besides, Kyleigh got a lot of enjoyment when she watched the pictures and sounds change on the TV screen. So, she was encouraged to keep pushing the buttons.
If my husband grabs the remote from her, Kyleigh will start crying. So, in order to reclaim the ownership of the remote, my husband has to trade Kyleigh with a toy, such as her best friend Peek-A-Frog.

Yes, Michelle - We will not let her get too addicted to TVs.
