I have recently, well starting at 18 weeks, last week, started recieving the alpha 17 hydroxyprogesterone caproate injections. Seems as though, the baby has really become quite active! Kicking/punching frequently. I know/hope that this is a good thing. They tell me it is. I just don't know anyone else that has recieved them being pregnant! So, I'm not sure what all anyone else has went through with them. I know that it has to be specially ordered, which we did. It's not real specific on all the different side effects, which I really don't think I have had any, except for the very painful injection site for about 5 days & constipation, which is normal during pregnancy anyways. I just wish that there was more information out there on this or at least another person I could talk to about it.
Please let me know if anyone else knows anything. I've/we've done all sorts of research on this, but not gotten very many answers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seems as though, my belly has grown quite a bit since the first injection. Now that I have recieved injection #2, I guess I'll have to keep the belly pics updated & see how much I/we are growing. Guess I need to post the one from 4 weeks ago & take one for this week. LOL

It is a progesterone injection that is "supposed" to aide in the prevention of preterm births.
So, I really hope that it works well. I don't know what I'd do if I lost another baby! I would be crazier than I already am! LOL
