Baby Update

Well I just got back from the doctor and he said that if I don't have Jacob by this Friday, they'll induce me this Friday at 3:00!  He stretched my cervix (ouch) to move things along and said he wouldn't be surprised if I started contractions soon!  So we'll see what happens from here!

Great to hear an update.
Well, I'll say congrats now instead of waiting until you have him, as Friday, I'll probably be under too many painkillers to be gathering much, if at all. I've got oral surgery Wednesday but seeing as I've never had a general anesthetic or 5 teeth pulled at one time, who knows how I'll be.

Had to be diated by medicine, have my water broken, push for 6 hours non-stop, and eventually, it led to a emergency C-section. My daughter is doing well... thanks to a wonderful OB/GYN dr.. of course, I had hormones that told me "not to go to him," but in the end, I love him and now recommend him.

I had my cervix stretched for one of them (Chris or Gilly, can't remember). It's in no way comfortable- you have my sympathies!

I'm really surprised you havne't delivered already! Here's hoping you don't have to get induced, though- that can be more painful because of how fast labor comes on.

Ouch my Dr. scraped me too and that was worse then labor!! She did it in the afternoon and by the end of the night we were on our way to the hospital!! Keep us posted!!

He will be here so soon! I was induced with Elliott! I'm surprised they are waiting until so late in the day to induce you, though. My doctor wanted to induce during the week (he preferred Mondays and Tuesdays), early in the morning, to make it more likely that the baby would be born during regular working hours, I guess.

I can't believe the baby is coming soon! I feel like I've been following from the beginning! I am sorry I haven't been on lately to comment and say hi but I can't wait to see pictures of the new baby hopefully very soon! I'm so excited for you and your hubby! If I don't have time to comment, tell Jacob, "Welcome home!" for me! He has a very special mommy!

Don't worry! I'm sure Jacob will be here when he is ready. I went through an induction 15 months ago and it wasn't what I had expected, actually much less painful. I also was induced on Friday it worked very well with my husbands work schedule (he only missed Friday and Monday and was back to work on Tuesday). I like that idea. Hopefully this Nov. when we go through labor again it will be as easy also.

Hopefully in the next 24 hours. Keep on walking, it really does help. Walk until your feet feel like they are going to fall off.

If you are not sure about this doctor you seen today, you might want to call and talk to your doctor or his nurse to see if he will be the one on call when you go in on friday. It would not surprise me if the other doctor didnt schedule you to go in friday when he is on call, so he can get paid for it. I would talk to your normal doctor and see if you cant chenge it until he is on call.
