Who Did You First Tell? How Did You Share the News?

My husband and I had a feeling. I actually started getting "morning sickness" the evening of our wedding. I orginally thought it was stress and nerves...it wasn't. 2 weeks later we went to the doctors and it was confirmed. We told my mom afterwards and said guess, what...your going to be a grandma. I simply just blurted it out.

My wife and I were pretty quiet about it at first because we were in a state of shock. We didn't think she was pregnant and, when she took the test and we found out she was we couldn't believe it.
I think we told my parents first.

I told my boyfriend first, but then again he sat in the bathroom with me while we took the test. After we confirmed at the doctor, I told my mom, who was thrilled to become a grandma for the first time!

I was riding from Kansas to California and My mom,Having had 8 kids, thought I was asking to stop for the restroom a little more than usual and SHE told ME that I waspregnant. I told HER that she was losing it from being on the road for two days and when we returned home to Calif, I took a pregenancy test and SHE was right.,Then I called a family meeting and told EVERYBODY.

First child: My hubby. Second child: my best friend. I needed to talk to her before I talked to him, because I wanted him to get a good night's sleep first! :-)

Hubby always finds out with me. I take the test first thing in the morning so we can both look at it and know. Our first, we told my mom first. Our second and third pregnancies, she was also the first to know. Then she got skeptical about us having so many so close (or some odd reason). So the next two, we told our best friends. This last one, I waited until I was 3 months before we told family as a Christmas present. All our local friends already knew. (I know, shame on us! but it was fun!)

I told my hubby first. I handed the results I got from the doctor's to him and let him read it. We told my parents second. I got a willow tree figure of a pregnant woman and gave it to my mom. It took a second for it to register. She just looked at me and said, "REALLY?".

I have never told my hubby when I "think" I am pregnant - so, he's always the first one I tell. With our 2nd child I sent our 1st child into the room w/ him w/ a onsie on that said I am a Big Sister. With our 3rd child he had invited me to go eat sushi (which I love) & I told him I would have to take a rain-check, for 8 more months. I honestly can't remember how I told him about our 1st - that's very sad...

I first told my bf, then some of our friends. I was SO terrified to tell my parents. I finally did and they were soooo excited to have their first grandchild.

My first pregnancy I told my boyfriend and it was quite nerve racking. Pregnant and not married. My family were very happy after getting over the shock, I was 29 years old. I always thought I'd die when I gave birth. My son was a c-section and that was great, I wasn't into pain of any sort and didn't feel I'd lost something because it wasn't natural. I had high blood pressure so that's the reason he came 3 weeks early. I had toximea which is very dangerous for babe and Mum. I was told to instantly stop work and have rest. Well how dare they tell me that, it was quite a shock. Apart from swollen feet I felt fine so would go out and about. My boyfriend locked me inside so I'd not go out and about, but after telling me off to look after myself he did tell me where they were, he had the keys hidden in a draw. We'd decided to call the unborn Candice, I love Candice Bergan ... who you say? But she turned out to be a boy and actually I had an inkling.
My second pregnancy, my boyfriend and I married, was a girl and she arrived naturally, the doctor wouldn't give in and said sorry Miriam but she's coming out so after her birth, her head was the size of a football, 100 stitches in and out, a c-section was still my wish. I was really happy and when I found out I presented my husband with a pair of pink hair ties and told him congratulations we're having a girl this time and we did.
Our second daughter arrived naturally, damn doctor, and she just fell out basically. After that my husband had a visectomy end of story. When I found out the last time I was pregnant I cried and the nurse whispered to me, I'm sorry but our doctor doesn't believe in abortions. I told her I wasn't considering that I just thought I was going to die again especially having problems the first time. I gave my husband pink hair ties and told him we're having another girl.

With our baby were expceting now.. we were expecting it.. I had noticed I was peeing alot that was when I told him I thought I really was.. So when we went to Target I bought the 5 day early EPT test.. and took it as soon as we got home.. It was very faint but I seen it ;) Well.. I was pregnant.. currently 21 weeks. I showed him and he told me I was silly there was not 2 lines.. lol yeah there was.. he was excited though! We told his mom and dad first then I called my parents..
