I DON'T necessarily agree that each party moving away from the middle is a way to take back our country. I think it is more likely a way to lurch back and forth and cause more and more divisiveness. A better way to move the center is to take back the center.
The Democrats are replenishing their supply after years of a self-imposed drought, the Republicans are not. How the center can still be to the right, given that fact, is pure rhetoric.
Just about the entire center are Democratic party members, whether you agree with them or not.
This year, they are aiming higher.
