O'Donnell Departing "The View"

Last week Rosie O'Donnell and ABC announced that she will leave "The View" in June.

Rosie, the outspoken co-host host of the morning talk show, said her needs could not be met in contract negotiations. ABC Network President Brian Frons agreed.

But right wing groups and talk show host have targeted O'Donnell for her comments after Don Imus was fired by CBS earlier this month, many called for Rosie's firing as well.

The lobbying group Focus on the Family announced that it was preparing to contact advertisers of "The View" as part of a campaign against O'Donnell.

I heard this morning they are considering Roseanne Barr as her replacement.

Roseanne Barr is good. I like her...of course, I liked Rosie a couple years ago too. LOL

I'm glad Rosie is gone. When she was on you couldn't hear what the others were saying. They'd all talk over each other. Roseanne Barr is funny and an interesting speaker.

I never watched The View until O'Donnell came to the show. I don't agree with everything she says or her tendency to be overly-passionate, however, her heart is in the right place and she beings many important issues to the forefront, such as foster care. I look forward to her continued involvement on The View.
