Pacific Island Gardens And Chiluly Glass

I can't jet off to a Pacific island but thanks to the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio I was able to pretend that I did last week. The conservatory has scattered Dale Chihuly's beautiful handblown glass throughout it's 73,000 square feet of glasshouses.

I felt like I was on a jungle safari in search of beautiful glass treasure.

Don't know what the first one is but I like it. I think the second is called Anthurium.

Great shots, Kay! I enjoyed seeing the Chiluly's work at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. His work is very fluid and fits in extremely well with the surrounding plants.

Ooh, great collection. I got to see a Chihuly exhibit at the art museum here a few years back -- amazing & beautiful stuff he can do. And yes, I will have a banana, thanks ... when they're ripe!

I always knew the tropics were south of Michigan. I guess the tropics start at the border. I imagine it is so hot in Ohio right now that you are wearing an itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini.
