This is one of those posts of mine that's really about nothing in particular... Just some things I took photos of around the ole digs here in Cloverdale in Northern California...
Well... I first went out with my camera to catch the little Anna's hummingbird that was poking around my dahlias:

I guess he got tired and decided to take a rest perched on one of them...

A lot of the birds like my water garden that I have in an old "clawfoot" bathtub in the front yard. They like to come and have a drink there:

From front to back the plants are: Taro, ribbon grass, horsetail grass and water canna lily.
About that time, this little guy popped up:

I took an even funnier photo of another lizard that will crack you UP! I can't reproduce it here because I've entered it in a contest and the rules require that I post it only to that group but here is a link to it:

You've simply GOT to click on the link and take a look! You won't be sorry, I guarantee it!
Here's a new visitor that I found in the big oak tree in front of the house:

I believe he's an "olive-sided flycatcher" -- usually identified from the dark-colored streaks along the sides of his breast...
This day, he brought along some of his friends:

As I was walking back down the driveway, I noticed that somebody's been busy building a new home in the oak tree!

Here's the resident, now!

I think it's Mr. and Mrs. White-Breasted Nuthatch's baby! (You'll probably recall the Nuthatches from another photo-essay I did about them... Cute couple...) ;o)
Well, everyone, I guess that's all I have for you today... It was just another one of those "Ordinary Cloverdale Summer Days"... ;o)
Thanks for the company!
luv,
jean
