Gotta show off what's blooming in my gardens! Spring was slow to arrive here in my area but now that June is here, my gardens are slowly coming to life. Between the rains and the high winds, I tried taking pictures of the blooming plants.
I have 3 bushes of these peonies in front; this is the first year they have really bloomed well. They must finally like their garden spots, and here I was... getting ready to transplant them somewhere else!

My purple alliums are truly awesome this year.
They almost dwarf my 55" Japanese pagoda close by.

This Clematis is putting forth some lovely blooms.
Soon, they will cover everything so profusely, the leaves will disappear under all the blossoms.

I started with just a couple of these Dame Rocket plants.
They are trying to overtake the gardens now. I keep digging them up to share with every visitor that come. So, if you're visiting, be warned .

This Scabiosa, commonly known as pincushion flower just got planted to replace a short perennial plant I lost over winter.

I love the airy and delicate looks of the stunningly colored Blue Centaurea Montana.

This White Phlox is new, too.

My favorite geranium has been repotted and is blooming now.

A volunteer Aquilegia flower.

A new addition... African Daisies, White Serenity variety.

The wind have really battered my May Night sage plants.

My red Dianthus are brilliant and already profuse this year.

So are the reliable daisies.

In my neglected back garden, one can see the determined Chives, blooming away inspite of the weeds.

Brave yellow irises peeking through the weeds

I remember the name Music Master but can not remember the kind of plant that put forth these blue flowers!

Fragrant pink blooms weigh down my peony bushes out back. The white ones are just now budding. In a few days, my white peonies will take over center stage. I love their fragrance the best over all the other peonies.

I bought these unobtrusive petunias just because they were called "Baby Duckling"

These are new to me. RED Delphiniums.

White Peony

Stella D'Oro Daylily, a very reliable bloomer.

Amazing purple petunia

In another day or two, more of my other plants will be flowering. Mother Nature is always busy!

I'd love to see pictures when your new garden starts blooming!
I have chives blooming too just love those.
Have a great day.
I have chives everywhere here it seems... they are very prolific ...but pretty
Thanks for the tour.
Yup, chives are prolific, easy to grow and spreads quite fast.
Thanks for stopping in!
I'm jealous.

Last day for Triple Points!
I should do a photo essay of the weeds that adorn my lawn. Every time I mow, I am fascinated by the variety!
Spring was late here, too. My phlox and purple coneflowers are nowhere near bloom yet. I just posted a photo essay yesterday of what has bloomed so far.
Anyway, I just want to say thanks... I could understand why you'd be missing your garden in Texas... a lot of my plants were ordered from fellow garden owners who were sharing their bounty thru eBay. I bought cuttings, divisions and seeds from really nice folks there. Here's hoping you will soon be able to plant a garden truly your own at the new place. Let me know if you'd like some from my Illinois garden!
If you post pictures of your weeds, I could probably help you identify them... I'm no expert but I've met a few, too... weeds, that is. :-)
Sending a ten your way for triple points week....
Thank you for taking the time to post to :

I just love your icon! The garden pictures are nice too.. but I love the icon!
That non-vining moonflower is one of my showstoppers. They are gorgeous! I must warn you, it grows BIG so, give it plenty of room, like about 6 feet wide. The buds look like tightly- wound handkerchiefs and they open into huge white blossoms. They say they have a fragrance but mine does not seem to have any. Another warning, they re-seed like crazy. Unless you pick off all the seed pods, you will have bunches of seedlings in the garden the next spring.
Send me an email and let me know which ones you like and I'll send you seeds, cuttings or divisions towards the end of the summer, ok?
Blessings always...
You are always welcome to stop and visit my gardens anytime!
I planted them in two separate pots and they just grew and grew to overflowing! I'll see if I can post you a picture later.
I think I will put in an early order for them next year and use them extensively in the garden and in baskets; you only need ONE per basket, they get so big! I will also try saving some seeds to see if I could start them that way. I'll save some for you, if you want?
Keep the photos coming. I love looking at others' gardens. I just wish I could keep up with who is publishing what. I've still not mastered it since "the change" here on Gather.
Red delphiniums?? How did I miss hearing about them? Wow! And gotta love those alliums. I am planting more and more of them myself.
Happy Gardening! - Bobbi K.
you will always be a first read....
and this one...
so nice I read it twice.....
(I sure wish "scabiosa" had a different name though)
These images are STUNNING! (nice flowers too)
I would love to see the rest of your garden, it must be beautiful!
I just planted a second row of dianthus where these red ones are. They are biennial and some of the old plants didn't quite make it this year.
Thanks for stopping by!
The Red delphiniums were a complete surprise for me at the nursery. I grabbed a couple as soon as I saw them. I hope they perform well and survive for me.
Pink and blue and emerald green are my favorite colors.. what a delight God gives us now. Love the season.
thanks for the beautiful photos and the time you take to make the garden grow. A great metaphor for the care of the soul and the earth.
Blessings and light,
Isis

Jessie, I love peonies, too. I love their fragrance and lush looks. I buy Linen Spray with a peony fragrance so that my bed linens and blankets smell like peonies when I get in bed each night. I also save the peony petals for all my potpourri baskets... lovely lovely fragrance!

Such beautiful flowers! Thank you for sharing them with us!
I love your purple alliums. They are gorgeous. Each spring when I see other gardens, I kick myself for not planting the bulbs in the spring.
My peonies have buds....some promise...maybe this week if we have sun.
They are all simply gorgeous, but the peonies are my favorites!!
