I haven't had much of a chance to get out and photograph spring as it is evolving here. Already the pears are in bloom and the bulbs are in full swing. I saw flowering quince a few days ago and new things are popping into bloom every day. In celebration of this I've decided to republish a few shots from last year. Hope y'all don't mind revisiting them with me.

Air clear as a free-running stream
tumbling over country rocks and minty greenery
Clear soft air of early spring
Breathing satsang, reeling eternity,
While running 'cross the straight-lined highway
-- shouting
"Hey sky, embrace me!" shouting
I embrace the air and call it Love.
I love you, love you, love you, love you
I
Form, Words, Action
I in motion
I in tumbling, stumbling, crazy image
kaleidoscope
over 'n' over
love you, love you, love you, love you
Capture the essence for an almost noninstant
Capture the image of groping, grabbing, grasping
gazing heartfelt on release, but
love you, love you, love you, love you
insane, insatiable
cannot touch release of
love you, love you, love you, love you
Smothering in the too pure air.
Hey, Springtime,
Got some time to be wasting
So I tracked a songbird
on a still bare treebranch
and joined it in song.
What wonder the woods bring
I can't contain it.
Thistle and briar weeds
Capture my imagination
Grow wild and tangly
All through my mind.
Our spring will likely be delayed, as usual. I also plan to republish something from last summer to lift my spirits and show off a little bit. ;o)
A very good friend just sent me a link today to a site where the kids could have fun... the kid in you, too. :-)
Enjoy!
Flower Garden
We, too have so many outdoor trips planned here. Our usually parks plus a new lake, a new park and the Crane foundation. Spring can't come soon enough. :)
Ten Stars!
Bart - the world has always been a MAD, MAD place. And we live in the mountains so it tends to be colder than down in the delta.
Jennifer - it will be a whole new experience this year to have kids to explore with.
Thanks lynn - yes, spring is here (at least in Arkansas, that is).
Mariana - thanks for checking in - and I will give everyone your best. My dad had double knee replacement surgery a few months ago and is doing really well but has been rather preoccupied. I'll give him your best.
Duckie - I will definitely check out that website - always on the look out for fun stuff for Lili - thanks.
Ina - I'll look forward to seeing your "revisiting" :-)
Jean - it is a captivating flower, isn't it?
Thanks Marianne.
Vicky - we always seem to be a little milder than MO - when you get ice we get rain. Amazing the difference a few miles make :-)
Thanks Fran
Roy - some of my best shots are taking lying on the ground. Perspective is everything!
Jessie - the one thing I do know is that eventually spring will show up everywhere - thanks for stopping by.
Thanks Teresa and Cheryl. I'm also glad that this winter is over.
flit - yes, I guess it will take just a little longer for those of you in the Far North. Hopefully you found a little respite here :-)
Madame D - I would think that you are wayyyy ahead of us in the bloom department :-)
libramoon - what a beautiful companion to my photos - thank you for this.
Faith - you're welcome :-)
Blessings ~
Rene
They are all lovely shots.
