I recently took care of my mom's dogs while she was out of town. While I was over there one day, I walked around her yard, snapping photos of all her neat little treaures! 
This is the big oak tree in the back yard. There are a bunch of huge elephant ears growing around the base.
Azaleas...this photo was taken a few months before the rest! (That's why we have blooming azaleas in October! HA!)
This tree makes beautiful pink flowers...they look sort of like orchids, and the leaves are almost heart shaped. This is a newer tree and hadn't bloomed yet.
This is a shefelra tree. I never knew they bloomed until I saw this!! It looks like long rows of berries!!
