This last chapter is a collection of photos mostly. Photos of flowers, and plants from Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Unusual plants, beautiful plants, and maybe some you have or haven't seen before!
My mom and I had such a wonderful day at the gardens, seeing and exploring new things! I hope my articles and photos helped you to visualize the gardens, and I hope you had as much fun as we did! Enjoy the photos!
This is what you would see when your leave the orchid display. A quiet little corner with some potted plants.
Here is some sort of palm...
Not sure what this is, you can see in the bigger photo that it's 'fuzzy' though!
Here's a quiet spot to sit under some shade and look at the ocean.

My mom seems to be enjoying it!
And a few more relaxing spots...

(Great spot to relax if your a squirrel!)
Okay, and now to the good stuff! I am just mainly going to post photos for the rest of the article, I nay explain a few things along the way, but mostly photos!
An orchid as big as my hand, it looked more like an iris.

This is a bunch of teeny tiny orchids.

This is a plant cut in half to show what the ants did. And here's the sign explaining...
(If you click on the image box at the top right of the article, you will be able to see big shots of all the photos ~ makes for easier reading!)

Top of a bromiliad
A beautiful flower from another bromiliad.
Another bromiliad bloomimg.
And another, same plant, two pictures.

This last photo was a plant that was for sale, $40.00, WOW, but still beautiful. They had it grouped with the other bromiliads, so I think it's in that family of plants.

I really liked this plant. I think it's some sort of succulent, they had them for sale, and grouped with other succulents.

Isn't this odd?

These stairs lead up to a bridge that overlooks the water, and the mangrove trees.
(And a big beautiful house!)

(Closeup of the picture before...)
These next photos are of some sort of beautiful flower, don't know the name, but they had them throughout the gardens. They came in a variety of colors as well. I think they are really neat!

(You have to check the big photo of this one out, the leaves are really cool!)

And I saved the best for last............................
These last three pictures are all of the same plant. The buds on this thing were huge, as well as it's flowers!

And that concludes all the chapters of the my little story, "A Day At Selby Gardens". If you didn't get to read the previous chapters, I am going to post the links! Check them all out if you have time, I think you'll really enjoy them. There are a lot of neat photos!
