This is the third part, as the title denotes, and it is the last. At least for the time being. We still have a couple of iris that haven't bloomed, but, for the most part, they are in their full and gorgeous sublimity. These are two of the five beds we have. Three of them have been featured in these looks at our gardens. The other two are used primaril for smaller rhizomes that either need to have a rest, or are being laid over for future use.
I do hope you have enjoyed the walks through our garden. You're welcome to wander, either in your bare feet, or with wet knees, and Maya and I hope you like what you see.
In this series of photos, I have concentrated more on the overall look rather than on individual iris. This is essentially what passers-by see when they walk up our street in Broadway-Flushing North, which is a totally beautiful part of Queens. All our neighbors are very mindful of their gardens and lawns and front yards and stuff, and we are blessed with a covenant that was written into all the deeds by the original developer of the area. We share this covenant, called the Rickert-Finely Convenant, with another truly beautiful part of Queens, namely Douglaston. Maybe I'll do a little story on that covnant some time a a help for developers who want to ensure that their development will not change from their original conception. Of course, our zoning [R1-2 for those who know about NYC Zoning Resolution] has helped keep our area looking pretty much the way it was meant to look. That, and the fact that we have recently become a NY State Historic District. Anyway, enjoy the look at our garden!

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoyed your stay!
Have a beautiful day and come by again at any time.
