As I promised yesterday, I am posting Part 2 of my Festival of Iris. I do hope you enjoyed part 1, and that you get equal enjoyment from this one. My main regret is that I cannot transmit the bouquet from some of these beauties to this page. For example, PT Barnum's perfume is redolent as soon as we open the front door, or when I'm coming home at night. There are some others as well.
Another regret that I have is the quality of the photos. Unfortunately, while I have a Pentax 35mm SLR, I haven't used it for years, and went looking for a new battery last week, without success. However, I did ordeer one and expect it momentarily. I was concerned that the flowers would be finished blooming before I could record them, so I'm using my Vivitar 3.2MP Digital. Not as good quality, but passable.
I do hope you enjoy this little stroll through our front garden. I have named thos whose names I remember, others have names, but, because i'm at work, not at home, I may be at a loss to name them.

This is High Stakes

This is Saturn.

This is "I'm Pretty"

"McKellar's Grove" was in yesterday's posting, but this is different photo.

We don't know the name of this lavender, but it was one of our first iris. You might say that it, together with a couple of others, started us down the road to our current collection.

This is Silverado

This is Smiling Gold. I find it very difficult to get the white of the falls to show without exaggeration. The white is so bright that it gives off a very high Index of Reflectivity.

This is Modern Classic

Here's another look at Modern Classic, with my city-owned Toyota Prius parked at the curb.

Here's another look at Smiling Gold

Here's a look at one of the beds

Here's another look at that bed

Here's a look at the other bed in front.

What a treat to the eye and soul!
am viewing these backwards but I don't think it makes much difference at least doesn't take away from the beauty of the flowers - I am amazed at all the colors. Thanks for sharing and for growing these lovely divas. Salud.

I wish I were in your garden of Eden
