CONTEST: How Many Emails Will I Receive While Away?

Hi everyone!

I will be leaving shortly for an 8 day beach vacation on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It will be late Sunday evening or early Monday morning before I am back at Gather.com. 

How many emails will I have received while away?  I am not talking about gather.com emails, rather the ones I get in my hotmail email. I am notified by email each time a member of my connection posts any article or image, and each time someone comments on my postings.

I have 600 connections.

Whoever guesses the closest to the total number of emails I get between Noon today, May 26, 2007 and 10:00 pm, Sunday, June 3, 2007 - without going over - will win. What will that person win? A color photo reproduction of an original piece of art that I have posted to Gather.com.

The guesses may begin at any time, but I will not accept any guesses past 5:00 am, Monday, June 4, 2007. The decision of the judge (that's me!) will be final.

BTW: When I had a similar contest in April, I was gone 4 days and got nearly 800 emails; at that time I had fewer than 400 connections.

But your rules say that you must guess the closest without going over. If you had 3899 and they guessed 4100, then they went over. Right?
