They should have a program for mailing back junk mail. I'm so tired of it. Sometimes I put it through the paper shredder and mail it back in the postage paid envelopes.

I don't know how they can afford it....and I don't think nearly as many people will use it as they should....but I absolutely love this concept. It's a great start.

interesting...my HP ink came with an envelope to mail back to them...in Europe mfg take stuff back like that...makes them more responsible, I suppose...

Great idea. I have been recycling ink cartridges for several years. Also, our local Lions Club will take old cell phones and accessories.

I guess it is supply and demand. usually when the demand is high, so are the prices. But Stamps are not in much demand anymore because of online banking and business. You would think the price would go down to encourage us to send out mail.

I like this idea. I also recycle the many credit card offers I get. I tear them up and put them back into the postage paid envelopes. That way the CC companies have to pay extra postage, since they are aren't charged until we send the envelope back. That way, I don't have to put the paper into the landfill and they finally get the idea to take my name off their list.

This is very nice.
I wish I could recycle my mailman.
He won't get out of the truck if it looks like rain.
He will put $200. worth of medicines on the porch but make me come into the post office Christmas eve day to pick up my free dust wand.
He is like a twisted version of Newman on Seinfield!

We have an HP printer/scanner and every time I buy ink cartridges for it included in the box is a postage paid envelope to mail the old ink cartridge back to HP. I was doing this but then my mom mentioned that she got like $3 off at Office Depot (or one of those business supplies stores) for each ink cartridge she took in to be recycled, so now I'm saving them for her. I'm glad to hear the USPS is doing this. Now if only people will actually take the time to do it! We try to recycle everything we can. I even save bottles and things for my Grandma to use in craft projects she does so that they get reused that way. Anything I think she can use I save. She uses them too. Has made some really neat stuff. I'm saving her olive oil bottles now. Aldi's has some really tall, skinny bottles of olive oil and she's gone crazy for them. : )
