Arizona butterflies

   While in Arizona this summer, I took countless pictures of the butterflies in my dil's flower garden.  There were several on the flowers no matter what time you looked.  I sat outside with my coffee every morning and watched the colorful show they put on.  It made for a very pleasant way to start the day.

Amazing is right and Check with the Desert Botanical garden for the Fall Butterfly exhibit. It features Monarch Butterflies and some science concerning their migration. The Spring Exhibit is passed, but there will be another spring. COST of admission is 15 dollars for adults. There is a lot more than butter flies in the stew at the Botanical Garden.

Incredible shots of butterflies, Nancy. That is what is so strange here, Nance, with all these damn flowers I am seeing here in Australia, I haven't seen one butterfly. I finally asked Mag the other day when we were hiking in the Stirling Range, " Are there no butterflies in Western Australia?" He just laughed and said "Of course there are butterflies but it's springtime. Soon enough, you'll see butterflies."

These are so beautiful. I guess I don't really associate Arizona with butterflies and with so much color. I think desert (which is pretty in its own way). These are wonderful shots and thank you for sharing them with us. I don't see many butterflies around here, so I'll just have to live vicariously through you!
