Sculpture in the Summer at Brookgreen Gardens (Photo Essay)

I've only visited Brookgreen Gardens once before today and that was back at the end of January. Not only does the landscape change when things are all in bloom, but apparantly many of the sculptures on exhibit change and move around as well.

I spent about 4 hours walking around the grounds yesterday. I also walked all the areas I didn't on my prior visit like the nature trail and the river areas.

Because I've photographed the statuary at Brookgreen before, I didn't go crazy shooting photos of everything on this visit. A few of the pieces I have taken pictures of before, but most of the ones included within this post were not those I saw during my prior visit.

I decided to purchase an individual membership while I was here. The total cost was only $60 and my admission fee from the day was deducted from the total owed. I can now enjoy this place whenever I want and for as little or as long a duration as I want.

I know I'll easily beable to get my money's worth since Brookgreen is very close to where I live and just as I do with Huntington Beach State Park, I plan to do here now too.

I think I covered at least 4 miles of walking yesterday.
