As some people know, my artistic endeavors go beyond just writing, digital art and the occasional poem; I also dabble with paint, on paper and canvas.
For the most part, I work with acrylics in the Abstract and Pop Art, or Folk Art, bend.
Here is a photo collection of six paintings.
Aztecian Sun Eye - 2008

acrylics on brown paper - 26 H x 30 W
Morning Coffee 001 - 2008

acrylics on stretched canvas - 24 H x 18 W
Vased Flowers in Brown - 2008

acrylics on stretched canvas - 24 H x 18 W
Coffee Sun 003 - 2008

acrylics on brown paper - 26 H x 30 W
Sky Blue Me - 2007

acrylics on brown paper - 26 H x 30 W
(It's amazing to me how different some of these paintings come out in the camera. It is my opinion that this painting looks much better in real life)
Third Shift at the Pickle Factory - 2000

acrylics on stretched canvas - 18 H x 24 W
I'm sharing all this because I've recently been receiving some attention for my artwork. Gather member Jessie Voights (a proud owner of one of my paintings) fully honored me by featured me as Artisan for the month of August on the web site Wandering Educators.
More photos of other paintings to follow.
I hope you enjoyed these.
Peace To All !!

Bill's Spirit is an Artist, Writer, Poet, Philosopher currently painting and wordsmithing from a humble studio in small town Ohio.
The works of the man behind Bill's Spirit have been published in small, alternative and amateur presses since 1986. Before that, they just filled notebooks, decorated walls and gathered dust in piles and boxes.
