Crystal Forest at Dawn

I got up this morning and headed for the kitchen to make my oatmeal and my morning cup of tea. I was greeted with the sight of a beautiful crystal ice forest growing on the inside of the storm window on my kitchen window. I knew that as soon as the sun rose higher in the sky I was going to lose that forest, so I grabbed my camera, slipped on the macro lens, and fired away. These are the best of the results.

This is one of the reasons I love Winter so much!

Thanks everybody! Tonia, I guess this is a part of living in New England you DON'T miss. LOL!!! Yeah, it was in the single digits last night, with a wind chill below 0. Lena, I can well imagine that you had your own crystal foerests on your windows this morning; you guys were even colder up there than we were here!
