Train Ride
Day 1 - 27th April, 2007
Lahore Railway Station, the starting point of our journey. The reason to travel by train instead of bus was to experience the new train, enjoying sight scenes, knowing life along with the oldest rail tracks of Sub-continent, and off course to freely shot and capture the stunning beauties. Overall it was marvelous experience with comfortable sitting space, good coach interior, hospitable service, stunning sight scenes. We leaved the station at 7 AM sharply and reached Rawalpindi near 11 AM. It was very economical to travel on train and ticket was around 7 USD.

Look! Its 7 AM and train started moving.

That baby girl is proud of Girls Town. She was playing with her brother and traveling with her Mom and Dad. Simply Beautiful!

Travel mates, my cousin.

Leaving station, light and dust all creating sepia tone shot.

Crossing River Ravi, part of Indus river system. It’s under the control of India under the Indus Water treaty and very rear to see water in it due to Electricity dams and irrigation streams at Indian part of Punjab.

No safety measures! People are crossing tracks without any fear.

People were waiting at interchange station for other train. See what’s in reflection.

I reminds me of some of my daughters stories and pictures of her train and bus rides in India. She lived in northern India for 8 months a few years ago as an intern at an engineering firm.
