I may not ever be forgiven for this, but here is a recognition quiz. Pictured below is someone that many of you may know, at least by reputation and work. There is no prize, and there will be nothing to be gained from recognizing the adult version of the person pictured. You may put it down to a Father's Day aberration on my part, but who is that gorgeous baby?
I mean, aren't those eyelashes just too beautiful!? Such a peaceful baby [when she was asleep]

This photo was taken in Dallas, Texas, waaaaaaaaay back when.

I think she'll be thrilled when she sees this!
Marilyn
Get well soon Ms. T.
Deb: Let her discover this herself.
Frank: Thanks for your good wishes. Things are OK here; could always be a little better, and I'm facing some major surgery myself in October. Nothing life-threatening, just the replacement of both knees; inherited osteoarthritis. Now I'll have four artificial joints, both shoulders and both knees. Perhaps when they can refine their practices, I'll probably have replacement thumb joints as well.
Pamela: the photo was actually taken in Lake Dallas, in Denton County. Our family was on the way from Philadelphia to Odessa for me to take a job with the Globe and Great Southwestern Shakespeare Theatre Company. Unfortunately the differential on the car I had gave out and we never made it. [Perhaps I should be thankful for that?] Anyway we spent a couple of years there in a rental house, and then I took a job with the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. [That's where the 'Plop Plop" from the mangoes falling took place.]
Thank you all for your positive remarks.

10!
And thanks to everyone for the get well wishes - y'all are just too kind. I am more out of it today than I thought I would be but definitely not as druggy as yesterday's post-anesthesia fog.
I still remember spending time with Tonia when she was young and have always had a special spot in my heart for her. Tonia has grown up to be every bit as beautiful and special as I have always imagined she would grow up to be. It is fantastic to be able to read her articles, see the wonderful photo's she takes and the way in which she views the world and expresses herself. Gathering here has enabled me to get a sense of the wonderful woman she is today.
Thankyou so much for sharing this beautiful photo of her Peter...
I took it easy on her; I could have posted one of her baby bath pictures!
