Sometimes it's fun to daydream about things you've already done and look forward to doing again. In the summers, I spend my months collecting stories and images of bayou life. Most of my friends have boats. One day, a friend asked me to take a ride. His dog, Cassie, came along.

These are some of the sights around the bayous.
There will be many more to come but that's a whole two months away.
I wanted to begin preparing my mind for going back down to the bayous. There are so many little worlds existing within a complicated ecosystem. I appreciate everything as one never knows what will be changed with the next hurricane.

This is just an introduction to my world. It is also the first article in my new group entitled, Mariana's Luziana. This is a typical sight down in Bayou Teche near Morgan City, La. where it runs into the Atchafalaya Basin. Many folks work on these crew boats.

It's fun to run into old friends who yell, "How's yah mama and What chall doing?"

Then, you see an old friend fishing for her favorite fish, Saccalait. Thank yall for coming along. I've enjoyed your company. Yall come back now, you hear! Salud.

Wonderful cruise down the bayou. I especially love the composition of these photos juxtaposed with the imaginative text. I feel like the boots are talking to the feet on the rail, very creative!
Cheers,

Mona, dear, thank you - Cassie is actually his girlfriend's dog but he keeps her sometimes. Charles, oh I can't deal with cold weather. I turn a whiter shade of pale, my lips look as white as my eyeballs...no, I'm a tropical flower - but I'll visit cold weather for a while.

Charles, I posted some more and need to put together an article but I'm in the middle of scanning more pics for my next book. More on all that later! Salud.

All I know is that it is based on Fench civil law, rather than english Common law like the rest of the country.
I posted a response to your comment on the other article, and I would advise you to get an attorney, as it seems to me that if 4 people own a house, they should all share in the expense of insurance, taxes and such.
