Do you ever go on YOU TUBE? My husband just got an account with them today so he could see some music videos that he has not been able to see since the 80's. So here are my questions about the site. Anything else you can tell me about it good or bad??

  • Does anyone here have videos on there?
  • Is it a safe site or are there some creepy things on there?

just like every other site out there, there are some creepy things on there, just don't go looking for them :)

I have slow speed but I would love to see some old music videos, too !!!

I bet there's all kinds of junk there. It's just so big, so you name it, I bet they have it.

my son follows up and coming bands on it, there is a real mix of content, some is harmless, other stuff is sickening.

Youtube is a "safe" site with all kinds of content. Like anything else you can get into trouble or the wrong type of things if that's the direction you head in. Some of their videos are excellent. I have had friends that posted videos on there. Some of the friends of my son and daughter also have done so.

My son has some video of his music on You Tube. ANd like most things on the web there are some great things and some creepy things. it all depends on your search.

My son has showed me a few funny things on there.
One video song was on Sat. Night Live--Dick in a Box--tremendously funny that.

There are plenty of creepy things there but I have loved to see the ice skating videos there, especially Michelle Kwan.

I use it for photoshop tutorials, they have some good videos for that. I'm not sure about anything else.

There are some WONDERFUL things there, some scary things there, some boring things there, some stupid things there,.......I found a video posted there that I've been trying to find for 20 years.

My son has posted some videoes on Youtube. You can find almost everything you are looking for on there!

I haven't posted on youtube. I do like to go there often. I would use caution. One of my students was watching an innocent Bert and Ernie when all the sudden someone edited some "colorful" words.

I go there to watch videos of old television shows like Miami Vice and the trailer of Route 66. Am I dating myself by mentioning Route 66? Anyway, I never posted anything there but a comment or two.

90% of YouTube is good stuff. They are meticulous abouit checking copyright. Unfortunately, Gather isn't, because if it looks too good, they will pull it.

I've posted a couple of YouTube public domain videos to Gather. They pulled them right away.

i love youtube...go there and type in the search funny blood..but don't see the remix...it is SO funny and cute!

I enjoy U-tube but you can find some questionable stuff on it but as far as I'm concerned not a whole lot. For the most part it is informative and entertaining and I have seen some videos that blew me away in terms of how well they were done.

I rarely go there. I've only gone once or twice to see concert footage of folk singers who are no longer with us.

I have not been on youtube for several months. I think they manage it pretty well. I'm sure there is some iffy stuff on there, but you'd have to go searching for it.

I have videos on YouTube and PBS posted a clip of one of their shows (Ferrets: Pursuit of Excellence) wherein I sing a song about ferrets (much to the chagrin of pimply teenaged boys everywhere, apparently). Just search on ferrets pursuit of excellence and I will turn up in all my large pinkness.
