Deciding a name for a tribute work is definitely a difficult decision, however, I have finally arrived at a decision: the name of the tribute book will be "Twenty Years of Better Than Ezra: A Tribute to the band and their Ezralites". Although I had another tentative title for the book ("Frequent Flyer Miles: A Tribute to Better Than Ezra and the Ezralites"), it has been pointed out by the fans that the "Twenty Years of" title would give Better Than Ezra the credit that they deserve and have earned through all of their hard work.
Work on my book is slow, however, it is gaining a small momentum---I have received a couple of inquiries in regards to Ezralite participation in the tribute...and, am including more details so that Better Than Ezra's fans will agree to participate.
Ezralite participation is strictly voluntary---however, Ezralites who would like a guarantee that their thoughts and comments be included in the chapters of the book must be part of the first 100 responses to my ads...which I have been posting on the band's official website and anywhere I may be able to get a response!
I have what I call the "Ezralite Interview and Questionaire" that I send to all who inquire in regards to participation, as well as an information release and waiver form. Anyone who would like to participate can send me their e-mail address either through gather or the my space that is dedicated to the tribute book (http://www.myspac.com/bookprojectbte); once I receive their e-mail address, I will send both the information release/waiver form and the Ezralite Interview and Questionaire. The Interview/Questionaire consists of roughly 14 questions and is very simple to fill out: it shouldn't take more than a half hour to forty-five minutes. The shared thoughts and experiences of the fans will be included in all chapters of the book, so that, it's more like a time capsule for both the fans and Better Than Ezra.
I expect to publish this book in August/September/October of this next year, since Better Than Ezra will be celebrating their twentieth anniversary during this time.
All fans of Better Than Ezra are encouraged to participate....I believe this is a great way to show your support of this very talented group of men that continue to be spurned by the unmerciful music industry despite their hard work through out the years.
