Up & Coming-John West

Occasionally I stumble across a new, unknown music artist that just moves me intensely.  They are a diamond in the rough, an up-and-coming star eager to share their art, and their passion.  To me, that is currently John West.  He *added* me on Myspace, and I took a look-see at his page--from the first lovely, subdued acoustical chord, I was sold.  Within a week, I'd ordered the CD and it has been in constant rotation in my car and on my iPod.  His music may be found at his website, http://www.johnpeterwest.com and also at his Myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/johnpeterwest

Each Monday he shares a new song, along with some notes about how that song came to be, or what his inspiration was.  His lyrics will grab you, and his laid-back soulful style is a refreshing change from the overproduced, in-your-face pop music that seems to be saturating the airwaves lately.
