In my element, I am a fiction writer, giving a voice to the voiceless and life to the lifeless. Frankly, I’m useless at first person writing, but this is a relevant time to try my hand. Nonetheless, I find my fingers nerveless as I struggle to find the right words with which to both mourn and celebrate the end of an enlightening experience.
I elected to join this amazing group led by a tireless, well-heeled man who has ceaselessly encouraged me and my elegant colleagues – who have become such good friends – to greater heights with our craft.
Under Ernie’s direction, I channelled my energies into my work and as a result, my writing career accelerated!
Each week I have trowelled through the dictionary, delegated other tasks to make room for my writing and deleted many false starts. Some of my work has been careless, but with each attempt I have elevated a little more above my standards in small increments with the help of this well-heeled gentleman and those elegant ladies I have come to love as sisters.
Ernie modelled dedication and discipline for us and under his relentless passion of driving us to our best, I have had the opportunity to read priceless works of fiction and marvelled at amazing poems that will prove to be timeless written by my graceful and elegant comrades.
Often I have sat in my noiseless office at my computer, still dressed in my flannelette nightie, puzzling over what to write and frequently coming up with an entry that is submitted at the eleventh hour.
An electric thrill ran through me when I was deemed worthy of a place in the winners circle, giving me the courage to send out feelers that led to some of my work being published!
Now, due to many circumstances, Ernie is set to become a traveller to new and exciting worlds. At first I felt it was the cruellest of fates, but as things stand, I now know that Ernie must be released from us as he pursues his ever growing career.
I know I speak for all the elegant ladies of our group when I say: good luck Ernie! We will miss you and our challenges greatly but wish you every success.
We await more of your delectable tales eagerly. Keep in touch!

using just three letters must be so much harder than using a key word. I can see the time and effort gone into this article. I doubt I would have the patients to attempt this challenge, very well done, take care.
Darcey.
Well done, period.
"Well-heeled Gentleman", as well as "Elegant Ladies".
That does take the "gift". Most impressive, Ms. Alison!!!
I will miss the group but I will keep in touch. You are one talented writer and I know you are going to go places the rest of us can only dream about. Good luck in your endeavors.
