Change - One person at a time

I am a registered nurse and I am dedicated to giving excellent, compassionate care to each and every human being I come in contact with each day, including those who have been shunned by our society.  An integral aspect of my care is teaching.  I try to teach patients, family, friends... anyone who will listen about my strong belief that each of us has a responsibility to care for, protect and improve our environment.  How can we expect to be healthy if we do not invest in our future?  Mother Theresa said "We can do no great things; only small things with great love".  I believe that if each of us contributes something that will leave this world a better place than we found it, we will have succeeded.  I plan to join the Peace Corps one day.  This opportunity to give something back to my environment would be a dream come true and I know I would be an asset to the team.
