Waiting for the Repairman!

My washer died last night.  Today after shovelling snow for the tenth time in the past couple of weeks, I'm Gathering waiting to hear from the repairman to call and make an appointment for a service call.  Of course today I had planned to do our laundry before company got here tomorrow for Christmas.  The phone has been silent and it's driving my crazy!!  We need to go to the store to get the last items we need for our Christmas dinner!!  This is like waiting for the cable company.  Thankfully this is all covered by an insurance that I pay for monthly on my electric bill.  I know, I know I shouldn't be complaining but the waiting is killing me!!  So how is everyone else's day going?

Figures! I hate how they can't give a definite time, or even a smaller window about calls and actually getting to the house. I've had some pretty bad ones- 8am till 8pm... really? You can't possibly narrow it down to a 2-3 hour period? Instead, I'm chained to my house ALL day?

I hope the call arrives soon, so you can go ahead and get your running around done!

I'm sorry you have to wait, that is so frustrating! Would it be easier to go to a Laundromat just to have it done? It would be a pain to pack it up and go out in the cold and snow, but it would be done, then when the repairman shows, you won’t be so stressed.

That's such a pain when something goes out like that. We thought our refrigerator was going out this morning, but it finally started running normally...thank goodness.

Last time that hapened to me, I went on the web and researched my washer. Figured out what the problem was got the part, took the washer apart and was stuggling to get the piece in place when hubby came home!

Oh I hate all that waiting! Especially when it goes on for hours or days. And then when they call and have the appt. scheduled, they are late for that too. I wouldn't mind if it was just this and that here and there but lately a bunch of things went kapoot and there was a month of waiting for this and that. Now am waiting about a new toilet.

I can relate. Our furnance started acting funky tonight (Saturday night) and Hubby got ticked at me for calling the company that we bought it from. The guy returned my call and Hubby told him that it could wait until Monday. They think that a sensor is starting to act funky. Now the stupid thing just blows out cold air.

If I have an asthma attack from being cold, I'm going to KICK hubby's butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
