My neighbor (1 house over) raises miniature horses & I like to go & feed the carrots once in awhile.

A few years ago a friend and I were riding her horses and we were all over the place and the horses seemed to be enjoying the runs. Suddenly they started whineying and trying to throw us off of them. Trying to pull the reins in so as not to get thrown my horse and hers took off like bats out of heck running away from where we had just been. Why did they react like this?? We later found out that the ranch we had been in front of had miniature horses there that had spooked our horses. Its funny now but it wasn't that day! ;)
