I'm bored, so I'm starting a game.

Name all the words you can think of that begin with P and end with L. Simple enough, right? :) Once you've given a word, give its definition, too. Feel free to consult a dictionary for help, but try to word it in your own way. I'm always surprised by how hard it can be to define the simplest words.
