Okay, now I am just the opposite. I LOVE math and science. Math makes sense to me....it's all logic. The answers never change...

I know I have a fear from high school. I did much better in writing and composition. Way to go Janet. You should be in microbiology they use much math

Lora, I was attacked by a band of maurauding numerical equivalents in the 3rd grade. I have never fully recovered from the ordeal. I tried therapy but upon arrival was informed that I would be in room 2267......panic set in and I have been living in an unnumbered building since.

A study recently came up with an easy way to detect whether one is math oriented or words oriented, apparently if one's third finger is longer than one's index finger, then one is word oriented, and vice versa; my third finger is longer...anyone else find this with themselves??

I hate math too, can't do algerbra at all. I was standing outside an algerbra class when i was in college waiting for my class to start. The professor was doing a problem on the board, he started on the other side of the room worked out the problem from one side of the board the other. He was just about done with the problem and i figure out the answer was x=2, I said your kidding, x=2 just before he finished the problem. He smiled and shut the door. Haven't a clue how i got the answer though, i could do it today..

I love math. I used to have a tutoring service called Math = Fun. I had a great time turning kids on to math.

My middle finger is longer too... I used to love math - until they came up with new math... I aced Algebra - but when new math entered the picture, I just barely made it through Algebra II and haven't been the same since.
I remember when 2+2 used to equal 4... I'm not sure anymore.
And like Larry I know the answer without doing the problem... then I always had to work backwards from the answer to try to write out 'my work'...
Was even told I cheated on a job interview math test once because I knew the answer but couldn't work out the problem in trig - I worked it out in algebra and that didn't qualify. Like how could I have cheated!!! I had no clue what was on their test, and was in the room by myself!!! Go figure!!!

MY son just got hhis act scores back a couple weeks ago, and then last thursday he got a letter from the ACT board saying he scored the highest level score possible and encouraging him to putrsue a career involving mathmatics!
He has a 3 letter name he can barely spell, and not sign legibly! Go figure! Thank goodness for spell check!
How about math check???
I, on the ther hand, can write and spell (not type so well) but basic math is more than enough!

I really hate math, but I could never make anyone believe that because I always good at it in school. I think I was good through desperation or compulsion though because I REALLY hate math. I love words which are fantasy and imagination. Math is logic and black and white. I guess I am a head in the clouds dreamer and math just doesn't fit the profile. Still I can handle Basic and Algebra. My downfall is Geometry.
