Barak's "Blackness" Questioned - Again

My thought is why should that matter? Do we still have to judge a man by the color of his skin? If Jackson said this he should be chastised for it!

Gee whiz, the man is black and white - two races and that is why that stupid comment was made and you know what, there are a lot of people that are black and white and don't even know it, and it really really doesn't matter. People are People and no one is going to agree with any one group all the time. It is not a matter of color. Golly gee can we just let the man try to be who he is and speak his mind.

He might as well have called him an Uncle Tom or a House N1gger, just like he called Condi and Colin Powell the same. For once, I will side with Obama.

Besides, how does Jackson want Obama to act? Does he want to him to have affairs with random women, call women b1tches, or act uneducated, just like Jackson has done? If that is acting "black" no wonder Obama does not want to act that way.

Jesse Jackson criticized the black candidate he supports for the way he was handling a matter that is important to the black community. It was indicative of the reasons Obama has failed to ignite enthusiasm in many parts of the black community, and that community has shown more support for a white candidate that has a long history of supporting civil rights and issues of importance to the black community. Jesse call things as he sees them and in this instance it should be obvious that he does not consider being black enough to excuse that which is unacceptable to him.

I have never known Jesse Jackson to act uneducated. Considering he was one of the first two males who condemned the sexist nature of the Imus comments as well as their racist nature I also doubt he has ever referred to women as b_tches except to condemn such references, and I have heard him condemn them. As for whether or not he has had affairs that is between him, his wife and his God and even if he did have affairs I doubt a minister would be indiscreet enough to select the women on a random basis.

Jackson called the Jews "Hymies" and called New York City "Hymietown" when he was running for President. He had an affair with his secretary that resulted in a child. He has managed to blame every problem in the Black Community on the government and the "White Man." He has encouraged a culture of dependence. I have not heard him say to the people in N.O. "get up and get to work." Instead, he wants the government to do everything. Jesse Jackson has no right to attack Obama. At least Obama is trying to do more than encourage the degenerate politics of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

An LA Times columnist also questioned Obama's "blackness" in a piece titled "Barack, the Magic Negro." This is the folly of racial politics, as practiced by liberals. Surprisingly enough, Rush Limbaugh didn't get kicked off the airwaves for putting together a jingle, using that title, to the tune of "Puff, the Magic Dragon." It features an Al Sharpton sound-alike, singing on a bullhorn. He played it again the day this story broke, and my liberal girlfriend heard it herself for the first time. I was half asleep, but I think I heard her laughing.

Correction: The LA Times column was called "Obama, the Magic Negro," not "Barack." It was written by David Ehrenstien, who is "African-American," as well.

Obama isn't black. He's half white and half black. His dad was black and his mom was white.

It's no surprise that the left would use race and race baiting to their advantage though.

Why can't the guy be American? Why can't we just forget all the hyphenated pigeon holes we put people into?

First place, why is race a factor, a question , an issue?.........
Seems to me that I as a conservative try to keep my focus on character, competence, conviction on issues, whether my President is going to protect and respect the Constitution, whether the freedom of the individual is on the front burner, whether the free market economy is going to be guided into continued prosperity, whether my tax dollars will be kept as low as possible.
The left does none of these and continues to keep the theme of dis-unity going.
It is always the left that tries to Balkanize our country.
As Americans we all should by now realize we are the collection of all races and stand under the one banner , our Flag .
We should all stand shoulder to shoulder as American, not African-Americans, Jewish-Americans,Italian-Americans,Irish-Americans................AMERICANS , that is it once and for all, assimilate into being AMERICAN and stop this stupid, childish infighting.

Dale, I agree with you. Obama is American, not black, or African-American, or half-white. He is AMERICAN. We are the only country in the world that puts the place of origin before America. So long as Jackson and Sharpton and other degenerates continue to create a difference between Americans, this will never end.

Jesse, is being white a bad thing? Do you have to be black before you can respect basic human rights and liberties. I agree with the majority here -- get off the sensational racist barking, and lets get down to discussing what is really important.

When Jesse quits making everything a black-white thing, I might actually care to hear what he has to say. Breeding hate is never the answer.

This entire case has been reduced to a racial issue when a boy was nearly beaten to death, here. Disgusting.

I used to hear students talk about acting white. They would encourage other students to ignore their teachers because of the perception that being a good student was a white thing to do. Of course, we all know how far that gets them. Rev. Jackson is simply pandering to that mentality.

Who cares what color he is????? Who cares if he is green with yellow spots?? My question is always is the person representing my country and life a person of true character.

Do people even care about character or know what it means anymore?
