I have always enjoyed the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. For some reason, that show is coming to mind now more than ever before. Since there must be some reason, I thought it would be fun to look at an talk about some of our favorite "bits" from that old show.
This is also a way of introducing a new group on Gather - Moose and Squirrel (www.mooseandsquirrel.gather.com) - where humorous and insightful articles about politics and the world around us (both past and present) are going to be featured.
So, what are your most memorable "bits" from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show? Here are a few of mine:

Also, what "commentary" do you remember from the show and how did it come close to "reality"?

Whenever someone says do (something) like you've done before; I recall a silly aside by 'Granny.'
Nell, Granny and Dudley are in a boat that is drifting toward Niagara Falls and Dudley shouts "Row like you've never rowed before!" And Granny, in an aside to the audience says, "This will be a cinch; I've never rowed before!"
"While the effect on Rocky was immediate"
"Duh, Tell me about the rabbits George"
"The effects on Bullwinkle were negligible"
"It didn't bother me much either"

This has all put a much need smile on my face thinking back to those days from my childhood when either to early or to messy to go outside sitting in front the TV watching those shows that seemed to make us laugh and help spark ones imagination to come up some goofy things to do or try to build in my dads wood shop. I don't have a very good memory anymore and the times that I can think back and something be there is nice, Thanks!
Not to mention Clutch Cargo, Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse, Krazy Kat and that cat bashing Ignatz, was he the original wife beater? Oh yeah then there was Felix the Cat ......
I remember the open of Bullwinkle,
Hey Rock watch me pulla rabbit outta my hat...
Again??? But that trick never works.....

Musta grabbed the wrong hat or also depending the season... Time to get another hat!!
