Antigua - Third Port of Call - Beach - Caribbean Princess Cruise

Oh Antigua, what a beautiful island. I took over 100 photos at this stop so I'll have to do four photos essays.  I'll start out with this one of the beach.  This is the Sandals' Resort beach which is beautiful and the newest of all their resorts.  I got thrown out of the grounds while trying to capture some of the beautiful buildings and plants while we were here.  We went to one of their beaches on another cruise a few years ago and I walked around the grounds with no problem.  This time I just casually walked in like I belonged there and in less than one minute I was approached and asked for my room key.  Slightly embarrassed I tried to slough it off while I was not too politely told to leave the grounds.  I took all the photos over the wall of their facility that I could and I'll post them in a different  photo essay.  The other two photo essays will be of the scenes while docking and also one of the gorgeous flowers and scenery.  So, off to the beach we go.

We set up at this end of the beach outside the restaurant.  This was built up from the beach with a rock seawall and great view.

DH enjoys the sun, I prefer the shade of a palapa.

The rocks on the beach below our little spot had this beautiful green beard on them.

Yes a storm is coming in and it rained for about twenty minutes.  It was a nice hot day and the rain was really cold.

Quite a bit of coral washes up on the beach.

I walked the whole length of the beach and it was beautiful.  I hope you watch the slide show of these photos since I didn't put them all in the essay.  Next stop will be photos from Sandals.

Can't wait for the next set of pictures! We have been to 4 different Sandals and the best one in my opinion is Whitehouse in Jamaica! However, I've never been to Antigua or St Lucia yet!

Yeah, one for the list to evaluate. Beach list is like a chore list......way to long, impossible to complete, and never feel guilty if something is missed. The sand, sun, and water of the islands sure can be inviting. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

I guess a cruise is a good way to do it. Then you can come back to your favorite and spend more time on another vacation.

All the shots are wonderful, what a beautiful place that is, maybe they are tightening up security, who knows, but the water and the scenery is just gorgeous, wish I was there right now, anywhere in the Caribbean is the place for me, I need a traveling companion .
