This is just too funny. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7338131.stm
With all the problems that Venezuela has been having, the Simpsons have been dropped from morning TV in Venezuela after being deemed unsuitable for children - and it has been replaced by Baywatch. The station claims that the show's "messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents." Well Baywatch will definitely increase the childrens education (I definitely learned how running in slo-mo could be entertaining!)
But there is obviously no accounting for taste on their programming. They have a talk show hosted by the country's president, Hugo Chavez. During one episode, the Venezuelan leader gave a speech which reportedly lasted eight hours. I wonder what the Neilson Ratings are for that show???

But children also need social satire.
Take care.
