Most folks know that I back Barack, Obama does a great job at reaching out younger voters (I'm not as young as I used to be, but I think young) through his website, which I think is well put together and using You Tube, My Space etc. I noted Bill Richardson in his endorsement of Obama stated words to the effect "that's it's time for new leadership." I couldn't agree more. Some claim that Obama is all talk, it's true that Obama is a good public speaker and I consider that being much better than having a candidate that will bore you to tears.
Some folks want to see "specific" plans, well specific plans don't exist at this stage of the game. No candidate has named their cabinet yet, no candidate have identified what the tax table will look like when they are done and offered the American people the software or Excel spread sheet that compares the current tax brackets and what you are now paying to the future tax brackets and what they propose you pay- we are talking details and specifics. No candidate has offered you a detailed chance to compare this vs. that- a chance to look at the math and how it will effect you as an individual. To me, you can't be specific without talking numbers and showing them. Hillary Clinton is a person that claims to have details. I say "where's the damn beef- pal!"
That 3 AM ad raised a few eyebrows, but as with all fear tatics they are effective for only so long before people say the magic words that vanquishes all " Bogey Men" those words are "I'm not afraid."
Clinton bought stock footage of a girl sleeping in bed; her name is Casey Knowles and she is now an Obama organizer. Of course when team Obama found out, a counter ad was made by Casey to Hillary's 3 AM ad. Stay tuned.
Check it out below. I got a kick out of it.

News sources seem to have taken Rev. Wrights' comments out of context. Here is a clip that goes into more detail. Rev. Wright seems to be suggesting that violence leads to more violence. I personally believe that more times than not, violence will end up leading to more violence.

In Birmingham when Bull Connor turned the dogs lose on the Civil Rights marchers I'm sure they were scared and afraid also. A lot of those marchers were kids and teen agers, I'm sure they were both scared and afraid, but it's what they did in the situation that made them heroes instead of cowards.
I'm also sure that the guys who made the D-Day invasion were afraid and scared goes though land mines and machine gun fire, but then again. It's what you do when you are afraid or scared that separates heroes from cowardice.
Wright clip
Christians believe that Jesus was God in the flesh and thus it's OK to pray to Jesus and a Muslim believe that Jesus was a prophet , but a man and thus should not be prayed to. This is why one can't be a Christian and a Muslim at the same time.
Also Christians believe in the Bible as the word of God and Muslims believe in the Koran as the word of God.
And you must have REALLY wanted me to read this Brian....Gather sent me 5 separate emails about it....LOL
If Obama's minister is going to be deliberately misunderstood and vilified, McCain's endorsers should get the same attention. Interesting that they aren't.
I must go to bed now,I'm very tired.
The video clip I saw was awesome, no wonder Trinity church is packed every Sunday- too bad and shameful for the selective editing for purely political purposes. The truth is going to come out.
I'm an ex-soldier and vets are near and dear to my heart. It should be a crime to portray an ex-marine is such a bad way. Rev. Wright need to sue some folks.
This is sooooooo sad, so sad.
I'm going to go out on the limb that the Obama team probably got names of those that may have pushed the rumor that he is Muslim to create fear and they just may be linked to KKK or other hate groups. It will probably come out in an indictment- there is plenty of time to Nov.
If I had to place a bet I would say team Obama know where the smoking gun is already.
I would never vote for, or against any man/woman based on just one video. It is the entire body of work that elects a President.
When you talk of Obama, a few simple questions pop into your head immediately, and they don't have much of an answer :
- Does this guy know any major world leaders?
- Has he ever run a business?
- Has he ever managed people before?
- Has he authored any laws since he's been in the Senate?
- Does he know anything about trade (NAFTA, etc.) or commerce?
- Does he have any knowledge about Defense or the Military?
- What would he do about Iran, if confronted by them militarily?
- How would he fix the Immigration situation?
I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he could answer these not-so-simple questions.
To your credit your questions are based on fact instead of fear based; we should make our choices based on fact not fear as far as I'm concerned. I'm against these politicians using fear and ignorance to manipulate the vote in their favor.
"I'm not afraid" are the magic words that vanquishes all Bogey Men.
I for one would like to hear something of what he might do as president. At this point, with all his speeches. I haven't heard him say anything except to wait until he's in office. Nope, not good enough for my vote.
Not good enough for my vote either. Barack claims are general. I work in business and usually work a plan from general to specific in stead of vice versa. Obama doesn't claim to have a drawn out play book with everything measured and quantified. I can accept that, what I have problems with is with someone that says they do and does not show it to the public.
Hillary claims to be specific "well where's the beef?" The release of her day planner as First lady isn't beef in my book, but I bet she tries to sell it as beef.
If this is the case I'm going to call if 100% pure bull.
We need a ressurection of the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE ... the media is now the story, or makes the story. Both sides benefit from the truth, and hearing the alternative view in the same place at as close the same time as possible.
Well, they did for Obama.
Here's a video for you to watch.
Show both sides of a story.
