Whenever there is any kind of scandal linked to republican oversight of a program, the dems are quick to call for the resignation of the repubs and to harass them until that takes place.
So now we have a new page scandal under the Pelosi Regime but all she says is: "The House Page Board must undertake an immediate and thorough review of the adequacy of the supervision and security at the page dorm. As a mother and a grandmother, nothing is more important to me than the safety and security of our House pages."
Not nearly enough Nancy. Not even close.
Apparently pages have been involved in oral sex in public places and two have been dismissed for that. Others are involved in a shoplifting club and at least one has been dismissed for that. I am not sure why a fourth recently dismissed page was sent home.
The situation is being described as "kids gone wild" and the democrats have clearly learned nothing from the travails of the repubs following the Foley scandal.
There is inadequate supervision of the pages which is bad enough but now it is the dems that are withholding information about problems with the pages from the House Page Committee charged with their supervision.
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R - West Virginia) and Rep. Ginny Brown Waite (R - Florida) have both resigned from the Page Oversight committee with Caputo releasing the following statement:
"Members of this board cannot productively tackle problems that may occur with our pages when questionable incidents are held from members of the Page Board. There have been numerous occurrences this year in which board members have not received timely information, and it is my belief that to move forward we must start fresh with a truly open dialogue,"
It was important enough when the repubs were in charge to get rid of Hastert, Foley and the repub majority. Now during the dems reign of terror, apparently all that is necessary is to take another look.
Wonderful double standards. It is time for Pelosi to take her 11% congressional approval rating and head for the hills. Dems need to accept the same level of responsibility that repubs do and resign in the best interests of the public when they screw up.
I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. Are you?

And correct me if I am wrong but arent these "children" over 18? So even if Pelosi and the others tell them not to they are under no obligation to obey. They are legally adults.
My reasoning why they should all resign has nothing to do with the pages. I just think most of them are horrible.

We just want Ms. Pelosi publicly ridiculed. Just like she did against Dennis Hastert when she was the minority leader. Hey, you reap what you sow, and in Congressional politics, you're bound to get a spanking if you run off at the mouth too much like SanFranNan did.
This is a do as I say, not as I do kind of Congress. They need to put up or shut up.

Carol L., I can't answer for Bret but I will say that both sexes can be weasely. the problem is that it is not politically correct to call Clinton or Pelosi on their behavior and I have a very serious issue with that.

I think it's particularly offensive to both men and women when women do it..........i.e. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, etc.
For some reason, Americans seem to expect it more from men, and especially from male politicians. I don't think that's a good thing, I've just observed it - that's all. The bar seems to be set really low for men, and quite high for women............again, just my observation.
