I said after making my daughter a Wonder Woman costume several years ago that I was going to buy costumes from now on. Making Halloween costumes is a lot of hard work. Then, my daughter wanted to be Batgirl...and yes, mom (with grandma's help) put together a costume again.
Last year Angela put together her own Halloween costume with items we already had in the dress-up box...and she did a great job. I was hoping that she would put a costume together again.
I tried to convince Angela that she should wear her Hermione costume she created from the Harry Potter Party.
It didn't work. Angela thinks she should only wear each costume for one year/season. I also tried to get her to wear one of her old dance costumes...that didn't work either. That NASCAR driver costume that she has doesn't fit anymore, and we couldn't find one at the stores her size. Bummer.
Angela has her heart set on being Supergirl. I thought, "no problem...we'll go buy a Supergirl costume." WRONG! There is no way in the world I would let my 10 year old daughter wear the Supergirl costume that we have found at the stores. There is WAY TOO MUCH skin showing...way too skimpy....way too sexy....she's 10.... So yes, here I am making a Supergirl costume for Angela. I just finished sewing (by hand) the logo on the chest of the blue leotard...I even made the logo a little 3D (puffy).
I have about 36 hours before she needs to wear the costume. Wish me luck. I still have more to do.

I think I made my daughter's costume every year except for maybe two. it was just one of those things.
My favorite one I ever did, though, was when I made her a Hershey's Kiss. She was three and it was so cute.
BTW I loved her Hermione costume. That was great!
Blessings
I do think it is very talented of you to be able to make a suit like that
sounds like you don't like making them, but you should take some
pride it it and it also sounds like this talent has rubved off on your
kids because they create their won things as well
This comment and rating of your older gather content was an idea Steve the Legend had on how to give a Christmas gift to our Gather connections. He posted an article earlier this month with the suggestion of checking out our connections older content. You are the 28th connection I have done this with so far. Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Jax!
