All boroughs in New York City that do not start with the letter "M" are considered "Outer" boroughs. Too many people who reside in the greater New York City area are Manhattan-centric. Even people who live in Long Island City, less than five minutes travel from Manhattan say: "I'm going into the City!" when they take the subway into Manhattan. Go figure. I always correct someone who says that by reminding them that they are already in The City!

Peter, I love this. I visited Manhattan and loved it. I stayed in a friend's place on upper 76th and also had a friend who was a movie producer in the upper 80's. That was a while back. I do love the energy there. This is a wonderful haiku. Thank you. I enjoyed this and the thread of comments. Salud.
