Like most kids, Gideon loves making art out of chalk outside. However, you might just be surprised at how he uses the chalk and what canvas he chooses for his art.
You see, Gideon's canvas is a slightly smoother one than the bumpy pavement, and it's one where he uses his chalk more like paint than chalk.
See for yourself in the next bunch of photos. This is still a work in progress, that is until the rain takes this work away.

What you can't see here is that the other side is started as well. Those photos show too much of where we live and won't be published. But you can get a good feel for the scale of his artwork.
It almost makes me want to let him use paint and do this, but then he won't be able to change the colors around that way, would he?
A large scale art display from a small scale artist. :-)

Thanks. You should see it now. He's got those new sidewalk "crayons" it's super bright!
Me too. :)
Thanks, and yes, it is much more creative.
Thanks nancy!
Thanks
It's wonderful having that splash of color that only a child could do, isn't it? It's almost sad when it washes off, but they are all too happy to start all over again. :)
Indeed. He chose a wonderful pallette.
Thank you, and no he's careful about that. :)
We sure could. Any way to brighten the days is a-ok by me. :)

It sure is both fun and therapeutic! The sad thing for me is when it washes off but Gideon just starts all over again in his coloring. :) I should take photos of it now. It's soooo pretty!
I will be sure to tell him!
And THANK YOU for the feature!
Thank you
I always let the kids chalk up the carport and small step out back. I think it is cute seeing what they can come up with. Plus it helps keep them occupied for awhile.
Awww it sure is cute and it's busy work like you said. Creativity rocks!
Yes it does. I think creativity helps kids in so many ways in order to express their selves.
I mentioned it to Clint lol he wasn't so sure about that. LOL
Thanks 4 sharing

Your Friend ~ Rene
Indeed, Rene. I love watching him create. It's quite the thing to see.. sometimes toungues sticking out in massive concentration sometimes not, but the outcome is always amazing.
I love all the colors, he is very artistic.
Thank you. I love it more when he does it with those new chalk "crayons" the color stains the wood even after it's washed away by the rain. And yes, he's quite artistic. We've nurtured his interest at every occasion we could.
He is very artistic.. I like his work.
Gideon and I both thank you.
