The Hunter Museum of American Art is located on an 80-foot bluff overlooking the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga. We spent this afternoon visiting the museum for the first time. The first Sunday of each month is free. The Family Free First Sundays are sponsored by a local business. I took some photos today of the outdoor art, sculptures, and the views of Chattanooga from the museum. There is no photography allowed in the museum. Currently on display in one section of the museum is Barry Moser's Illustrations for Frankenstein. Among one of the many collections at the museum are paintings from the American Impressionism period.
