Normally, I don't advertise websites that generally charge for membership, but today's page of the day is Game Table Online (http://www.gametableonline.com/).
Why?
Because of this news article. Apparently, Game Table Online wants to promote their membership, so they're giving away 500 Core memberships for free. Basically, this enables access to all of their games, free of charge, forever, as long as you play at least five games a month against another human opponent. Once you register as a member, you can click the link in that article to get to the section where you can become a Core member and have unlimited access to the site. Games available for play include a wide variety of board, card, dice, and other strategy games.
Your skill level on the games is tracked using an experience point system, where winners earn experience points and losers lose experience points commensurate with their level of skill and success. We've had problems getting some of the games to work, but most of them seem entertaining and worth checking out - at least, while it's free. Why not take a look?
