In your neighbor hood are you plagued by Japanese Beetles? How about Fleas or misquitoes??
Well here is a good earth friendly remedy for you!.. many other uses Too
The neem tree actually is so great it can be used for just about any bug or skin ailment.* Neem gum is used as a bulking agent and for the preparation of special purpose food ( for diabetics).
The Neem tree is a cousin to mahogany.which is one of my favorites for it hardness and beautiful changes in color when you carve into it. Neem is also a close relative called Chinaberry that grows in the United States beware thoth the China berry is very toxic and iis a pest taking over lands as bamboo does hard to be rid of once it' root runners get a hold in your land.
The Twigs for centuries have been used as tooth brushes and amazingly they work! Me saying I am amazed with so many posts on amazing plants YES
The cold pressed oil is good for most bug s even the hard to kill Japanese and those huge grasshoppers. Just a tea spoon per gallon of water. Spray the plants they hate it either die or back off and quickly leave your plants alone. this is made from the fruit and seeds and yes even leaves. They hate the smell of onions garlicky spray. I haven't had many this year all neighbors have Not sure but I wonder if it is because of all the clumps of wild onion and wild garlic I love!
It is great on your pets to ward of the blood sucking insects yuk
when I opened my attic fan they swarmed out I had to bomb the Attic and some closed off rooms but on any thing near my self my food or my animals get is cleaned with neem oil. You can ad a tea spoon to a quart of shampoo or conditioner [no more] and away with bugs.
Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a tree in the mahogany family origins from India, the tree is variously known as"Nature's Drugstore "Divine Tree," ," "Village Pharmacy" and "Panacea for all diseases."
"Heal All,"
I always try and find a natural remedy for most ailments and this one is proven! It also is great for soap [homemade] as well as skin problems.
DO NOT spray over our good bugs honey bees included it will kill them also. As you know the bees are very important for our ecology.
I cant say too often that if we care for our land and use natures bounty the generations that follow us will be it much better shape every little bit helps even if it is one person at a time
Thanks all today more is coming!!

Thanks for the info
Thanks for the info. We just have a problem with flies right now
I vaguely remember hearing about it, but always thought it was more hype than anything.
Now as a gardener I'd like to know how tall does it get and how wide does it get and how long does it take to get 15 feet high - and most important for me in Flroida - is it a good shade giving tree?
... and lastly - does it smell funny - some of those insect repelling plants have a weird scent.
I would advise buying the oil a lot easier 1 tesspoon per gallon spray plants yes it has an oder put that goes away.
it does work
