This afternoon I spotted a green anole lounging on my front step railing. I think he was looking for love in the bushes, but there weren't any takers!!

Looking for love

Showing off his beautiful orange beard

"I wonder if any females were watching?"

Now to see if love comes a calling
Hope you enjoyed seeing my little green anole!

Great pictures. We have so many lizzards around our place that the dogs have become great lizzard hunters, and even catch them sometimes.
awesome!
Nice set of pictures.

Thanks for the correct ID of this lizard!

Actually there are so many out there, no one should feel ashamed for mis-identifying one. :)
Handsome fellow. Its a gecko? I thought it was an anole of some sort.
Awww... no, it's a green anole. Guess I don't know my lizards very well! LOL
LOL...I suppose lizards aren't the biggest thing that people know. -grin- I thought I was wrong thining it was an anole after you said it was a Gecko. -grin-
Love is in the air : - )
Great shots of a creature I don't get to see around here...
I love seeing their orange flaps come out.
Nice photo! Our lizards do head bobs around here.
LOL! Cute photo essay! Awesome photos!
I'm so jealous. I haven't seen any of these in my yard! LOL
What a neat photo essay! I loved all the photos!
I love watching those little guys! Great photos!
neat pictures thanks for sharing
I enjoy watching these little guys. They drive my dogs crazy.
Oh, my, that is fascinating. Excellent photos!
Years ago, I used to have a pet one like this and he used to sit on a log in his aquarium under the light and puff his throat out like that. It was so pretty!
So cute, and impressive display with the beard!
Nice photos!
cool photos!
They are so cute. When # 1 son was barely 2, he could handle them without harming them.
great photo essay....
Cute essay and I loved the beard! (poor fella, hope someone took him up on his offer!)
Very cool!
Great photos!
I am throughly jealous. I have no lizards on my porch :( aside from the occasional skink that is. I wish the little buggers could withstand the crazy weather we have here.
Great catch :) hopefully he finds love and you'll have a dozen more little scaly friends to photograph in the future.
*edited for homophone abuse. . . heh
what a great post, the detail and the colors are magnificent
Wow, he's really a cutie and you have wonderful photos of him too. Nice long tail and love the orange beard going on. I've seen them doing this but can never get a photo of it.
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
when my kids had them as pets we had two males that would sit and do that all day at each other. we didnt have any females. I guess they were hoping we'd get the message
LOL... that's funny, Angela!
Fun!
great shot, i know how hard it can be to catch them with their beard out, ill post the one i got on my vacation to florida right now, its been my desktop for months.
With such a beautiful puffed up throat you would think every female anole would be after him.
awww what great pics of your green Anole... we have many here too... fun to watch..
Wow - I do so love the nature shots! :0)
