I'm Seeing Lots of Yellow Now

During lunch I couldn't help but notice the Goldfinch are even brighter yellow now. These bright flashes of yellow come flying to the thistle feeders that hang just outside the window. So pretty and I really missed this colorful display all winter.

I am so happy about Spring I am doing pirouettes !

Even the black caps are visible on some individuals .

There are a few who still have a ways to go   when it comes to breeding plumage.

He's still mostly that drab olive green.

This one is a pretty white and yellow.

I am done doing my pirouettes now. I noticed I really need to clean those windows.

I'm seeing yellow today as well, but it is not a good thing as Roshane came home from school on yellow today, which means he wasn't on green. Green = good behavior.

I finally found my finch feeder and filled it with thistle. I'm hoping they will be back to my yard very soon!

Your goldfinches are much more yellow than ours. They're feasting on Niger thistle seeds.
