I seriously dislike my cat(s).

Yes I really do dislike my cat.. (s). I really am an animal lover, but there's only so much I can take before I just go completely nuts. My one cat has driven me over the edge and the other is getting close.

Spice, the cat I don't dislike as much, is the kind of cat I like.. not clingy and does her own thing. If she wants attention, she lets me know. But there are a few things about her that drive me batty. She'll do this "alarm clock cat" thing EVERY SINGLE MORNING. I did some reading on it and do everything that is said to do.. but she doesn't stop. Shortly before my alarm goes off in the morning, she's either staring at a wall or door and MEOWING her head off. I try to put a pillow over my head and ignore her, but that doesn't work. I can still hear her loud and clear. I've been ignoring her to see if that would just make her stop over time.. haha.. no.. Now I'm back to yelling "shut up" or "SPICE!!!!!". That doesn't work either. So basically I just have an extra alarm clock that goes off too early. Darnit. I have less than two months before I have this baby.. and know then I'll be awake probably 24/7.. especially since I want to breast feed. I just want some sleep now.. you know?

Another thing she does is leave a nice pile of poo on the carpet in front of the baby's room. It gets cleaned up.. the poop returns. There always has to be a pile there. I don't know what the heck crawled up her butt and makes her do this, but it's OBNOXIOUS and gross!

Other than that she's not too bad. My boyfriend has issues when we're in bed and she hops in and starts kneading his back, arms, crotch (lol), whatever. He hates it. I actually like it and like when she does it to my back. I just have to watch my belly when she jumps on the bed because she likes to hop on it.. which is not good. In any even those are my issues with her.

The other one.. on the other hand, is half-way out the door. I just never in my life had a more annoying and obnoxious cat. I got her as a stray from someone wanting to dump her off at the vets office. I came in at a bad time I guess and the sucker I am told the lady I'd take the cat. So she came home with me. (BIG MISTAKE!) She was very co-Dependant the moment I brought her home. She had to practically lay on my face 24/7 for weeks until I could finally ween her off my face. She still liked to be close.. extra close.

Anyway, for awhile now she's been a crazy sick food hog. I mean HOG. She acts like she's never eaten before in her life. I'm making some soup for my two sick ferrets that need it (it's just canned A/D food mixed with chicken baby food and water) and she practically starts running at me and jumping at me and tries to knock stuff out of my hands, etc. She likes to steal this from my ferrets (it has their medicine in it when I give it to them) and in general, just pisses me off. I put empty plates on the top of the TV stand for a moment, while I take care of the ferrets before I toss the plate. She jumps up and licks/knocks down a void-of-a-single-speck-of-food plate. She does this for about anything. She constantly acts starved. She's not a big cat- I think she was around 6lbs when I last took her to the vet for a UTI. My other cat is 10lbs.  She's skinny, but you can't feel her ribs like you would if she were underweight or something. She couldn't hurt to have a little more weight, but is fine.

When I feed her canned food, she eats it like it's the only food she's seen in the last couple years. She eats her dry food fine.. doesn't hog it down like she does wet or anything else that smells like food.

Oh, did I mention she'll knock over and dig through trash cans? Yes.. this STUPID cat does that.. over what? An empty plate of food she can smell.. or a cat food can. I swear to all that's holy that I can't take any more of this behavior. There doesn't seem to be anything medically wrong with her other than she's psycho and a hog.

Other than the damn food behavior, she's not too bad of a cat anymore. It's just she's getting on my last nerve every single second of the day when it comes to food.. any food. Heck she'll try to steal people food. Doesn't matter- If she sniffs it, she's after it.

So in a nutshell, I have two cats that drive me nuts. I'll just stick to my ferrets from now on. I love their crazy attitudes.. (even when they do jump on the coffee table and drink my OJ that I don't want them to have).

Feels so good to get this off my chest! 

I really do love animals, all animals.. Just not my cat..(s). Unfortunately I lost the best cat ever to feline leukemia a couple years ago. He was just still a kitten and I'll never forget him! I adopted him from work (he was a stray left at our office). They needed to find a home for him before they had to take him to a farm. They had him neutered, leukemia tested (they thought it was negative), etc. I brought him home.. he got sick, had more testing done.. he was positive and he went downhill so fast. I was on the way to the ER vet when he passed on. One of the saddest days of my life. :( He was something special.

But anyway.. I'm just babbling on.
