A Trip to the Tennessee Aquarium Part 2

Here are some more of the photos I took Friday at the Tennessee Aquarium. I will start will a few more shots of the penguins. The waterfall shot didn't quite turn out, but I am still going to post it. It is at the very top of the aquarium in the River Journey building. The aquarium includes animals from the Tennessee River, but also the Mississippi and many other rivers around the world. It also features Nickajack Lake and its inhabitants. The photos of the fish I took didn't turn out, but I would have loved to have gotten a shot of a sea turtle they have in the Ocean's Journey exhibit. Now that we finally made it to the Aquarium, I am sure we will be going back again sometime soon to see everything we missed the first time.

I'm just dying to go somewhere and do something fun. We would have to drive to St. Louis, and we are cheaping out because of the gas to go the 200 mile round trip. Living in a small town really is dull when gas prices are too high to leave town! Your pics are great, so at least I will travel with you.

What a fun day!! I wish we had something even remotely fun and educational here. I may just have to take a road trip to see you. Wouldn't that be fun? I could throw some snacks in the car and a few books for Jack and just DRIVE. I like this idea!!! Maybe when we get our tax refund, I'll do that. I bet it would be a fun drive and Jack and I could stop on the way and check out local sites and take photos and maybe even go to a diner.
